Donna Holbrook
ICEJ Canada National Director

Donna Holbrook is the National Director of the Canadian Branch of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, a non-denominational faith ministry supported by the voluntary contributions of members and friends world-wide.

She holds a BA from Wilfred Laurier University and a teacher’s certificate from York University.

Following a teaching career, in 1983, she established the Hall Holbrook Agency Inc, a firm that represented manufacturers and designers of ladies fashion apparel to retailers in Ontario.

Donna has worked closely with the Jewish community and the Israeli government to increase awareness of the need to support Israel and to speak out against anti-Semitism.  The Shadow of Death was a major multi-media docudrama launched in a combined effort of Christians and Jews shown in key theatres in Toronto and Ottawa to educate on the Holocaust.

Donna serves as a Director on the Board of the Canada Israel Committee, is an active member of Canadians Against Suicide Bombing, the Speakers’ Action Bureau, the Canadian Coalition for Democracies and the former Vice-President of AMEN (Anti-Semitism Must End Now)

Donna has appeared on CBN, Vision TV, Nite-Lite, in documentaries on Religion and Humour, Martin Himel’s “End of Days”, interviewed weekly on the Zelda Young radio show, and written up in the Toronto Star, Canadian Jewish News, Jewish Tribune, and ICEJ’s bi-monthly magazine Word From Jerusalem with a worldwide readership.

Personal Testimony

Born and raised into a Christian family in a small town in Northern Ontario, serving in the church community was central to Donna’s upbringing as was her strong faith in God.

However, not until married with one young daughter, did she experience a personal relationship with God through the birth and early death of their son, Jeremy. In 1996, two years following, Donna joined the ICEJ Canada group to Israel to celebrate the Lord’s pilgrimage Feast of Tabernacles in Israel. She decided at that time to return every year for the Feast, which she has, and not to return ignorant about this precious people and land…concerning scriptural, historical and current events.

Donna maintains that just one visit to Israel will open one’s eyes and understanding. “You will never read your bible the same way as words on a page; but visually, having walked and touch the sites.”

She has been 16 times to Israel since 1996 and her commitment to facilitating trips to Israel is ongoing through the annual Feast of Tabernacles [Sept-Oct], educational trips for pastors’ [Feb-Mar] and special experiences for young adults aged 18 – 30 through the ICEJ Grafted Young Adults missions [June and Sept-Oct].

“Those who don’t want to come to Israel, have never been. Those who do come to Israel, want to return…time and again.”
